What is an RSS feed?

RSS ('Really Simple Syndication') feeds are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people (click the orange symbol at the top of the left-hand menu to see the page).

How do I use the RSS service?

Most modern browsers, including Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome automatically check for feeds when you visit a website, and display the orange RSS icon when they find one (usually in top right-hand area of the browser). Many of them allow you to add RSS feeds as a browser favourite or bookmark folder, automatically updating them with the latest content.

• Opera RSS Readers
• Safari RSS Readers

Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is click on the RSS button and you can subscribe to the feed. The reader icon should change when new items are added and you can open the reader to access the content.
